Uthoff Valley PTO Meeting Minutes

Monday, September 9, 2024 @ 6:00 pm

 

Attendees:

Board – Amy Leon, Sarah Parisotto, Ashley Newport, Lauren Hoggatt, Lindsay Marsala, Maurine Sachs, Mandy Gan, Jamie Rogers

Staff – Danna Thorne & Lauren Harr

Parents – Lindsey Miller, Kirsten Ravas, Lauren Breen, Stephanie Reitmeyer

 

Meeting Start Time – 6:00pm

 

A) Secretary

- Minutes from last month’s meeting were approved 

 

B) Treasurer

- Budget; Review & Approve

-Teacher Reimbursement - $200 with turned in receipts.  

-Please make sure all deposit & reimbursement form are filled out completely 

 

C) Fundraising

- Restaurant Nights

-Chick Fil A night 9/10

-Spirit wear 

-Michelle Thoms will head up

-New provider from previous years and new merchandise and designs coming

-Sales extended and we are no longer using this as a fundraiser

-Sell the 5th grade shirt in November

-Selling UV stickers in the front office

-Next school wide sale before Thanksgiving?

-Count Me In

-9/3 through 10/31 - $10,000 goal.  $3,300 running total since first week live.  

-Amanda Burnett first winner for incentives; incentives will be picked as the weeks continue

-Thermometer has been colored in (would like if it could be and brought outside for pickup on occasion to update parents) 

 

-Spring Fundraiser

- Still deciding on company for Entertainment; Music Bingo or TV Trivia are options 

 

-UV Night at City 2 Game! – September 15, 2024 @ 6pm

-149 tickets sold as of 9/6/2024

-Ticket minimum has been met to have school name displayed at half time and a post-match photo on field

-Working on how to contact families on where to sit (no reserved seating) and gathering point for post-match field photo

 

 

D) Caring School Community (CSC)

- First Day Celebration (feedback – went well, next year could have more coffee)

-Dude Crew

- Contact Thad about decorating for Fall

-All Pro Dads meeting 10/3 @ 8:15am

 

E) Support

-Adopt-a-Viking – 70 Vikings and 63 parent sign-ups (need 7 more) 

-Fab Fun Friday – 9/20 going to do cookies

-Fall Party Planning – starting soon

-Parent Teacher Conference dinner

-Wednesday night 9/23; soup and salad

-Volunteer sign-ups; only 53 people signed up.  Having Danna send out stand along message via Parent-Square

-Buzz Book – coming soon

 

F) Events

- Trunk or Treat 

-Friday, Oct 25th 6-7:30

-DJ has been booked (need to sign contract and send in $100 deposit)

 

Principal Report

- Sound system is done and installed in the Cafeteria ; TV is being hung outside Mrs. Gilbert’s room (used for announcements)

 

President’s Report

-Presidents’ Forum Annual PTO Leadership Conference

-September 11, 2024 @ 5:30-8:15 pm at Lafayetter High School (all elected members of PTO Board are invited to attend) 

 

-PTO Copies for Friday Folders

-We copy on orange paper

-Have copies in designated baskets in the Teacher Workroom before noon on Thursdays; contact Kate Kyle if need help with copies with 24 hr notice

 

-Teacher Grants

-Due by Oct 25th; duedate has been sent to teachers
