- Spirit Wear- There will be a November sale. 5th Grade shirts will be in this sale. More info to follow.
- City 2 Game- Uthoff’s final number was 131 tickets which is $655 back to the school.
This means that Uthoff will be receiving a custom CITY SC jersey! (Fill out template for the event details. Amy will email).
- Cade Cooper from the St. Louis Blues reached out about a possible fundraising event at Enterprise Center for a STL Blues Game.
Here is the info I took away from the call.
Uthoff Valley will get a discounted rate on tickets. They will block tickets in 2-3 sections for families to choose from.
A custom link will be created for us to share and families and community members can purchase tickets and pick their seats.
How we earn money- we can add an additional amount to each ticket and that money will be given back to us by check form the Blues.
I do want him to clarify if there is a convenience fee added to purchase tickets.
Prices are determined by the game and night it is played. The flyer he shared shows Bronze games as being the cheapest.
I looked at the Jan 27th game against Dallas. The lowest price tickets ( these prices were based on last year so using it as a marker) $26-$36. If we add $5 to each ticket we are looking in the range of $31-$41.
Do you think we would get much interest based on the price point and location of seating?
Do you think this is a fundraiser we should explore doing?
- Support
- Birthday Buddies Update-
Gift Card Update: At the President’s forum meeting, the CFO for Rockwood School district talked to the group. Gift cards are always a hot topic. This information was shared: PTO funds (All monies that come through the PTO bank account) cannot be used to purchase any type of gift card for teachers. So, in the future Parents will need to just donate a $10 gift card and send it to the office. We cannot have the option to donate on GiveSmart and then we purchase the gift cards.
- Stock the Lounge Update: 5th Grade sponsored last month's stock lounge. Thank You!! 4th Grade is up this month! A lot of great feedback from teachers and staff about how awesome it has been!
- Fall Party Planning- Horns Up Hands In- Thursday, 10/23 6-8 pm

- The next President’s forum meeting will be 10/22/25 9:30-11:30 am at the Rockwood Administration Annex- All board members are invited to attend. We need to have at least 1 rep from our school at each meeting.
- President’s Forum Recap:
- Dr. Cain presented on Prop S. List of guidelines that PTO’s must follow during an election.
- We will review our By Laws at our next board meeting. Each of you will have a copy to keep.
- President/Treasurer Training:
- Suggested that all checks require 2 signatures.
- Do we have a PTO debit card?
- Contracts- any contracts that we sign with vendors need to be reviewed and signed by a member of the executive board. Executive board is: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and VP of Fundraising.
- Lots of discussion about tax reimbursement. We need to look at the list of retailers we use to buy items for PTO events. We need to make sure we are able to use the tax free letter. (Amy has not been able to use at Diebergs or Walmart) We should then make a list and have reimbursements done from those stores only.
- Amazon account for 501 c3- need to discuss creating an account to get the tax free benefits.
- ZEFFY- a 100% free platform for nonprofits. Other PTO’s use this and love it. Something for the exec board to look into.
- Open Forum for Discussion/Questions
- Adjournment:
- Next Meeting: Horns Up Hands In: October 23rd 6-8 pm.
Board Meeting: November 10th 6 pm.
Rockwood School District PTO meetings are reserved for district parents, community members and invited guests. If you are interested in speaking at a PTO meeting, please reach out to their executive board members ahead of planned meetings.
