Uthoff Valley PTO Meeting Minutes

Monday, October 14, 2024 @ 6:00 pm

 

Attendees:

Board – Amy Leon, Lauren Hoggatt, Lindsay Marsala, Nicole Wiethop, Meagan,  Mandy Gan, Jamie Rogers, Lindsey Wurgitsh

Staff – Lauren Harr

Parents – Lauren Combs

 

Meeting Start Time – 6:00pm

 

A) Secretary

- Minutes from last month’s meeting were approved 

 

B) Treasurer

-Updated profit and loss statement will be sent to the PTO board via email for review

 

C) Fundraising

- Restaurant Nights

-Chick Fil A night waiting on amt earned

-P’Sghetti’s 10/15

 

-Spirit wear 

-5th grade shirt sale and whole school sale the 2nd week of November through the 26th.  They will be delivered before Christmas.  Michelle Thoms will get the info out.

 

-Count Me In

-Final push for last 2 weeks; $6,825 in total as of 10/14

-Incentives; week of 21st - $15 max book fair credit, week of 28th - lunch with principals 

 

-Spring Fundraiser

-Save the Date: April 11, 2025

-Still working on entertainment for the evening

 

-UV Night at City 2 Game Recap

-Total tickets purchased 189; $945 raised for the school

-For our numbers we earned a visit from The City Street Team on Oct 23rd from 11:45-1:45

-May inquire about another game date

 

D) Caring School Community (CSC)

-Dude Crew

- Trunk or Treat parking and BBQ - sign up genius sent out to get volunteers

-All Pro Dads meeting

-Excellent turnout with about 60 dads and kids

-Next meeting 12/5/24 @ 6:15pm; pizza and drinks provided

-Dad’s Social; 10/16/24 @ 7pm at Truemans

 

E) Support

-Adopt-a-Viking

-All Vikings have been adopted and families assigned to give one small treat a month

-Fab Fun Friday

-11//22/24; sweet treats

-Fall Party

-10/31/24; sign up for volunteers and supply donations sent out

-Parent Teacher Conference dinner

-10/23/24; meal will be catered from Sauce on the Side

-Budget was increased to $800 per conference to help with catering

-Volunteer sign-ups

-Continue to post in Viking Voice

-Current volunteers needed: Head for Boutique

-Buzz Book

-Ready to go and will be updated once a quarter/semester

 

F) Events

- Trunk or Treat 

-Friday, Oct 25th 6-7:30 at UV Parking Lot

-DJ has been booked, sign up genius sent for cars and candy donations

-Dude Crew to organize cars in parking lot, cook and set up food

 

G) Principal Report

- Grants coming in; due end of October 

 

H) President’s Report

-Leadership Conference; discussed executive board, general board officers and membership, PTO info, President’s Forum Tool Kit (located on district homepage), Parent Square Training, Website updates & Treasure information

-ByLaws and Update to Board Officer/Committees Structure; will update and share once completed

-President Forum; Wednesday 10/23/24, 9:30-11:30 am at Rockwood Annex.  All board members are invited to attend
