Uthoff Valley PTO Meeting Minutes

Meeting Start Time – 6:00pm

A) Secretary

- Minutes from last month’s meeting were approved 

 

B) Treasurer

-Review current Profit and Loss Statement & Budget to Date

 

C) Fundraising

- Restaurant Nights

-Culver’s Night 11/4 made $540.00

-Sugarfire was in December still waiting on check

-Chick-fil-a still waiting on check

Next one is Chick-Fil-A; 2/11/2025

 

-Spring Fundraiser

-April 11, 2025 @ Andres

-Tickets are now on Sale now; early bird pricing through February

-Sponsors and donations are being accepted; have 43 item currently; Amazon wishlist is active

-In need of Raffle ideas, looking for round sponsors, grade level parties

 

D) Caring School Community (CSC)

-Dude Crew

- Huge thanks to Thadd Holdinghausen and the Dude Crew for WinterWonderfest help. 

-Thank you Thadd Holdinghausen!  He went above and beyond clearing snow on the parking lot, sidewalks and playground and salted areas to help keep our walkers safe going to school.

-All Pro Dads meeting

-Next meeting 2/6/25 @ 8:15am; donuts and juice provided

-Family Game Night

2/28/25; 6-7:30

-Variety Show Recap

-Possibly move the show to the end of February next year (switch with Family Game Night); will need to request more chairs as well

-Thanks to Nicole, Mo, Stephanie, Jamie and parent volunteers for making this event possible.

-In need of parent volunteers for the actual parties; make a stand alone post on Viking Voice with a pre-register link

G) Principal Report

- Background Checks for Volunteers

-Earmark money-add a line item to the budget to support families in need of financial assistance with this?

 

H) Presidents’ Report 

1. Community Read: Anxious Generation - Jan 30 and then again in Feb.
2. InterCultural Night- Thursday, April 24, 2025- We have been asked to donate $100 to the event. (This will be an ongoing ask of the RSPSO for this event each year-will add to a line in the budget)

The chairpersons are trying to get families to participate and share their culture. Will share through the PTO page.  Will earmark a monetary donation to any UV families that may want to host a table.

3. PTO Board chair nominations & April election planning
   1. Discuss what members are leaving the board or if other positions on the board are wanted. We are always looking for new members to join the board!

               Board positions will be posted as open until 3/15. Ballot will be set on 3/24 and we  will have an election at the April 7th meeting. 

     D) District Board Transition meeting/Vendor Fair May 7th 6:30-8:30. This meeting will be important for outgoing and incoming board members. Mark your calendars!
