Uthoff Valley PTO Meeting Minutes 

 

Wednesday, August 6, 2025 @ 6:00 pm

 

Attendees:

Board – Amy Leon, Sara Parisotto, Lindsey Wurglitsh, Lindsey Marsala, Ashley Newport, Kaitlyn Holdmeyer, Jamie Rogers, Maureen Sachs

  • Approve July Meeting Notes
    • RESENT FOR APPROVAL

  • Review current Profit and Loss Statement & Budget to Date
    • 2025-2026 BUDGET STILL NEEDS TO BE POSTED ON THE WEBSITE
  • Square Terminal set up for multiple users. (President/Vice President/Treasurer/Fundraising/Danna/Lauren)
    • ASHLEY IS SENDING OUT THE INFO TO USERS

  • Spirit Wear Sale: MANDY GAN WILL HEAD UP
    • SW WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE AT BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHTS 
  • Horns Up Viking Quest: what prep and planning is needed for this event
    • SEPT 13, 2025; 2:30-5:30 @ UTHOFF VALLEY
    • FOOD TRUCKS, PICKLEBALL, CORNHOLE, DUNK BOOTH, CARNIVAL STYLE GAMES
      • NEED TO FIGURE OUT PRICING, MAPS, PUNCH CARDS, VOLUNTEERS
  • Need GiveSmart Direct Donation link set up
    • GENERAL AND FALL FUNDRAISER
  • Restaurant Nights; Chick-Fil-A 10/14/25 and 3/10/26  Psghetti’s 9/23/25   Culvers: 11/10/25 and 4/13/26

  • What was the decision on Adopt a Viking? Are we moving towards “Stock the Lounge idea”
    • NO VIKING CHAMPS THIS YEAR, WE WILL HAVE PTO, GRADE LEVEL PARENTS & SCOUTS “STOCK THE LOUNGE” EACH MONTH
  • Looking for Team Leads for: PTO Care Team and Art to Remember to help Mrs. Dunahoo.
    • PTO SECRETARY WILL TAKE OVER PTO CARE TEAM; LOOKING FOR A VOLUNTEER TO HELP MRS. DUNAHOO

  1. Caring School Community (CSC) 
  • First Day Celebration: Nicole is needing help with this. 

Food: Bagels (2 dozen variety bread sliced)/Cream Cheese (4 Plain) - Plates/ Napkins - from Panera ask for delivery at 8:15 am to school.

Coffee: Make at school and transfer to the warming dispensers

  • Board Members can meet in the cafeteria at 9 am.

  1. Dude Crew:
  • Work day at UV to get weeds cleaned up! 
    • MONDAY 8/11, 5:00-8:00 & SATURDAY 8/16, 8:00-1:00

 

  1. Principal’s Report 
  • SCOUTS TABLE @ FALL FESTIVAL 

 

  1. Presidents’ Report 
  • Front of school art sculptures should be installed sometime this weekend!
  • Meet the Teacher Nights: We will place PTO flyer on all desks.
  • Spirit Wear Recycle: These items will be placed in the cafeteria on Wed and Thurs evening for families to take.
  • Spirit Wear sale: We will need 1-2 people available from 5:30-6:30 on Wed and Thurs night to sell. We will take cash, check or card payments via the square terminal.
  • Chalk the Walk: 8/17/25 5-6 pm
  • Save the Date: 9/10/25 - Presidents Forum Leadership Conference at 5:00- 8:30 pm at Rockwood Summit High School.  Dinner will be served at 5. Mandatory training for Presidents and Treasurer
