A) Secretary

- Minutes from last month’s meeting were approved

- Restaurant Nights

-10/15 P’Sghetti’s; 12/3 Sugarfire; 11/4 & 3/10 Culvers

-Will have product to sell on both back to school nights with ordering available (pick up or ship to UV)

-UV Night at City 2 Game! – September 15, 2024 @ 6pm

D) Caring School Community (CSC)

- First Day Celebration (200-250 for breakfast)

-Dude Crew

-School clean up, we will be promoting this group to get it up and running

-Thank you to Thadd Holdinghausen for jumpstarting this and working to get the school grounds looking fabulous

 

E) Support

- Meet the Teacher 8/15 & 8/16 – Volunteers needed to talk with parents

-“Chalk the Walk” 8/18 @ 1:00pm – post on FB pages and Parent Square

-Adopt-a-Viking – waiting on spreadsheet

-Looking for chairs for the following:

Lost & Found/Yearbook/Buzz Book (Lauren)/Helping Hands

-Fab Fun Friday – 9/20

President Report

-First Day Celebration Presentation

-Monday 8/19/24 – Meet in Cafeteria @ 9am or after you drop your child off to their class

-Intro’s – who we are, kids and grade level and role in PTO

-Talking Points – each board position has a slide(s).  Discuss your slide and focus on key points

-Slide presentation is on the Google drive, please check your section

-PTO Slide Presentation Sharing

-Thoughts on sharing slide presentation on the PTO FB page/Grade Level Pages/Parent Square?  There are links to sign up for several things that volunteers may miss at the in-person training

-PTO Website

-All updates have been turned in

-We will be attaching agenda and board minutes monthly

-Additional Training to learn how to add and edit will be scheduled

-PTO Storage Cleanout

-Thank you to all who helped clean out the closet.  Everything is organized and labeled and ready for the school year.  Let’s try and make it a point to keep this organized

-PTO Copies for Friday Folders

-We copy on orange paper

-Have copies in designated baskets in the Teacher Workroom before noon on Thursdays

-New Hooks outside doors to hang Friday Folders
