A) Secretary
- Minutes from last month’s meeting were approved
B) Treasurer
-Review current Profit and Loss Statement & Budget to Date
-Discussion on ideas for spending down: Noise-canceling tiles, outdoor bench/table
-Waiting on Bookfair totals
-Still waiting on City Soccer payment (6-8 weeks)
-Paying on PTO grants
C) Fundraising
- Restaurant Nights
-P’Sghetti’s 10/15 - $180 profit
-Culver’s Night 11/4
-Sugarfire in December
-Spirit wear
-Sale 11/2-11/27; watch Viking Voice and Friday Folders for more info
-Count Me In
-Amount raised $7400
-Will be doing another push to make goal
-Incentive: Teacher Turkey Trot (vote/pay for your favorite teacher to participate)
-Spring Fundraiser
-Trivia Riot; will focus on TV Trivia Themes
-$500 fee for the evening

D) Caring School Community (CSC)
-Dude Crew
- Huge thanks to Thadd Holdinghausen and the Dude Crew volunteers for giving the parking lot a Fall Festival feel and for all of the help at Trunk or Treat!
-All Pro Dads meeting
-Next meeting 12/5/24 @ 6:15pm; pizza and drinks provided

-Fab Fun Friday
-11//22/24; baked good and coffee
-Fall Party
-10/31/24; parties went well - a few suggestions have come in on crafts and activities for next year
-Parent Teacher Conference dinner
-10/23/24; meal was catered from Sauce on the Side; very well received
F) Events
- Trunk or Treat Review
-Another successful event; Thad did amazing in organizing the setup
-DJ is sending back the deposit money; is giving us 3 free hours next year
-Winter Wonderfest
-12/14 9:30-11:00am
-Need face painter? Looking into Santa
-Have CSC be in charge of Stem & Craft this year
-Rockwood Gives Back - SLC
-Food; Donuts, juice & coffee
-Have Choir perform in Cafeteria this year
G) Principal Report
- Grants were reviewed by the Executive Board that Teachers submitted. The following were accepted:
*Ally Becker, 5th; Math Games $175
*Erin Tenkman, 5th; 5 Wobble Stools $302
*Robin Chamberlin, 5th; 2 Wobble Stools, 6 outdoor waterproof blankets $178
*Julie Owens, Library; $150 credit at the BOGO Book Fair
*Jennifer Soertart, Math Intervention; 8 Multiplication by Heart, 8 storage pouches $220
*Melissa Bruno and Danielle Lawlor, PE; 4 ClassPro Pickleball Courts $1,731.66
Additional Grants to be discussed:
*Julie Owens - Additional Shelving
*Whole School - Extra outdoor games for collaborative play (Jenga,Cornhole, etc) REACHING OUT TO RHS to see about possibly making some of these as a school project.
H) President’s Report
- President’s Forum Meeting
-Inequities within the Districts, i.e. Trunk or Treats not done at all schools
-Thermal Printers
-Advertise PTO meetings; have meeting guests; provide childcare; incorporate more discussion. Budget and Meeting details to be handled by the Executive Board beforehand.
- Intercultural Night hosted by Rockwood Middle School PSO - April 24th
- 5th Grade Celebration Planning Meeting; November 12th, 2024 @ 7pm at UV. 5th Grade parents are invited to learn more about the end of the year celebrations and how they are able to volunteer.
- April 9th Future Falcon Fun Night
- PTO Board Holiday Party - this will take place instead of our December PTO meeting. Possible Date December 2nd - place TBD
